Give both channels a shared purpose

SEO and paid advertising are often discussed as competing choices. A more useful starting point is the business goal they need to support. Are you introducing a service, helping people compare options or attracting enquiries from a particular audience? A clear goal makes the relationship between channels easier to plan.

Publicité Privée’s approach brings research, creative thinking and practical execution together. Search visibility and advertising should contribute to the same journey, rather than send people towards disconnected messages or pages.

Understand what people are looking for

Search begins with a need. Someone may be exploring a topic, comparing providers or trying to find a specific business. These intentions call for different kinds of information. A broad explainer and a focused service page have different jobs.

Review the language your customers use and the questions that arise in real conversations. Group related needs before creating pages or campaigns. This helps the team decide which topics deserve a detailed resource, which need a clear service explanation and which require a more direct invitation to enquire.

Build useful search foundations

A website should make its content understandable to people and accessible to search engines. Clear page titles, descriptive headings, sensible navigation and helpful internal links are practical foundations. The content itself should answer the visitor’s question rather than repeat phrases without adding value.

Technical details also matter: pages need to load reliably, important content should be accessible and the mobile experience should remain usable. These foundations support the website as a whole. They do not guarantee a particular position in search results, and should not be presented as a promise of one.

Use advertising with a clear destination

A campaign message creates an expectation. The destination page needs to continue that conversation. If an advertisement introduces one service, the landing experience should explain that service, offer relevant detail and make the next action easy to understand.

Avoid sending every campaign to a general page simply because it already exists. Consider the audience, the message and the decision being asked of them. A focused page can still use the wider brand identity while giving people the information that brought them there.

Agree what a meaningful enquiry looks like

Before reviewing campaign activity, agree what matters to the business. An enquiry may be more useful when it includes the right service, a relevant location or a clear project need. The definition should reflect the organisation’s actual process, rather than an attractive-looking dashboard total.

Keep the reporting language honest. A click is not a customer, and a form submission is not automatically a completed sale. Clear definitions help marketing and sales teams discuss what is happening and identify where the journey needs more attention.

Learn across the channels

Organic and paid activity can raise useful questions for one another. Questions that appear in enquiries may suggest a clearer service explanation. A topic that attracts interest may deserve a deeper article. A confusing page may need a better structure before more traffic is directed towards it.

Treat these observations as inputs to a review, not automatic proof of cause and effect. Make purposeful changes, document what changed and compare results in an appropriate context. The aim is an ongoing learning process rather than constant, unstructured adjustment.

Keep the plan proportionate

The right balance depends on the business, its audience, its resources and the state of its website. Begin with an agreed scope and a realistic review process. Clarify responsibilities for content, design, campaign management and reporting so that the work can move as one programme.

A balanced growth plan is not a fixed recipe. It is a way of connecting useful content, a coherent website experience and relevant advertising around a shared objective. Start with the visitor’s need, then choose the work that helps them take a meaningful next step.
